The Invisalign invisible aligner system uses transparent plastic trays to guide your teeth into the desired alignment. Each customized aligner tray is based on a 3D model of your teeth, applying gentle yet consistent pressure necessary to reposition your teeth. Once placed in your mouth, the aligners are hardly noticeable.

Unlike traditional braces which are bonded to your teeth until the completion of your treatment, your aligner trays are removable. This allows you to take them out during meals when brushing or flossing, making your treatment more comfortable and discreet.

You can still enjoy all your favorite foods without fear of interfering with your treatment. Athletes can also stay active with Invisalign -- just remove your aligners before you hit the field or the court.

Depending on your needs, you will wear each set of aligners for one to two weeks. Our orthodontist recommends wearing your invisible aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day for the best results. Treatment times vary, but most patients wear Invisalign for one to two years.

Who is a Candidate for Invisalign?

Our orthodontist recommends Invisalign for adults and teens with mild to moderate tooth and jaw misalignment. We use Invisalign to treat many common orthodontic issues, such as crooked teeth, crowded teeth, gaps or spaces between teeth, overbite or underbite. For patients who present more complex orthodontic issues, we may still recommend traditional braces treatment.
