Your First Visit

Your time is valuable, and we respect that. Your initial appointment will consist of a 15-30 minute full examination and a review of potential treatment options for your needs. To expedite treatment, we may also reserve time following the exam for diagnostic records, such as X-rays, photos and impressions. In that case, the overall first appointment will average about an hour and a half.

During your first examination, we will address your needs and discuss a few standard orthodontic treatments available to you. Please ask any additional questions that you may have, as we want this first experience to make you comfortable in your decision to proceed with our orthodontic practice.

Every Smile Starts With an Initial Consultation

Your initial consultation will give you the opportunity to meet our team, learn more about orthodontics, receive a complete initial exam, and find out which treatment options will best meet your needs.

During your initial consultation, we will:

  • What could have caused my malocclusion?
  • Is treatment needed now, or should I wait?
  • What treatments would be best?
  • Do any teeth need removal?
  • What is the estimated treatment time?
  • What is the average cost for this treatment?
  • What are different options for payment?

Along with answering these general questions, we will also address your specific needs with a detailed analysis of your diagnostic records. Your needs are very important to us, which is why we pay attention to every single aspect of your future in orthodontics.

After discussion of your personal needs, we will outline probable treatment time frames and treatment costs. This will give you a better understanding of the commitment you are about to make for a beautiful smile that’s worth it.

If available, please bring any panoramic X-rays taken within the past six months. Also, If you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card to this first appointment. This will better help estimate your treatment costs.

You’re one step closer to achieving the smile you’ve always wanted! After your consultation, we will schedule your first appointment, and your doctor will take records (if not already taken) and initiate your Orthodontic treatment. This appointment generally takes about an hour, and during this time our team will be available to make sure that you are as comfortable as possible.
